Purpose:

What is Microsoft Teams:

Microsoft Teams is the hub for teamwork, where people - including people outside the WSSU organization - can actively connect, communicate and collaborate in real time to complete daily tasks. Users can have a conversation as they work, whether they are or having a meeting, editing documents, or working together in other apps and services. Microsoft Teams gives users a place to have informal chats, iterate quickly on a project, work with team files, and collaborate on shared deliverables.

Faculty, Staff and Students can use Teams to:

  • Chat one-on-one with other users, or in small groups
  • Organize your team’s work, files and key resources using private channels in your Team
  • Make audio or video calls with other users
  • Facilitate and record audio/video meetings with other users
  • Access other Office 365 apps including Word, Excel, OneDrive, OneNote, and Planner
  • Invite external (guest) users to be part of your Team
  • Easily search chats, files and conversations as well as people
  • WSSU faculty, staff and students are licensed for Teams, making it easier call, chat, add people to a team or search individuals on a team.  As well as connect with anyone on campus!

How to access Microsoft Teams:

Faculty and Staff can access Microsoft Teams from a Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser via one of the following:
