Banner 9 - "Service Invocation Failed" message

If you see the message "Service Invocation Failed" when logging in or while using Banner 9, try closing your browser (all tabs and windows) and then restarting your browser.  This issue is reported more frequently with the Internet Explorer web browser; less often with Chrome or Firefox.  Using a different web browser may provide relief.  Keep in mind that only Banner 8 requires Internet Explorer as the web browser.

Sometimes this message appears when the user closes the browser without signing out of Banner 9.  Please make sure you sign out of Banner 9 before closing your browser window/tab.
