RAMID + powered by DUO:
Here are some quick instructions on managing your authentication devices or adding new ones.
-
Logging in:
- When logging into university applications, you'll be prompted to authenticate using a DUO-configured device.
- Note: If you've already logged in earlier in the day, you may need to open up a private browsing tab or incognito in Chrome to receive the DUO prompt.
- Scroll to the bottom of this authentication prompt and click on "Manage Devices."
-
Authentication:
- You'll then be prompted again to authenticate using an existing MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) device. This step is required for security purposes, so please continue with confirming your authentication.
- If you do not have one of your existing MFA devices, please contact the help desk at 336-750-3431 for assistance.
-
Manage Devices Page:
- Once authenticated, you'll be redirected to the manage devices page.
- From there, you can manage existing devices or add a new device.
-
Adding a Device:
- If you need to add a new device, click on "Add Device."
-
Recommendations:
- We recommend having at least two separate devices for MFA.
- For example, you might have a phone and a tablet, or you might use a YubiKey security key alongside your phone.
- Note: These YubiKey security keys can be purchased from other purchasing sources, such as CDW-G or Amazon.
- Having multiple devices ensures access in case one device is inaccessible.
