Purpose:
The RAMTech Questions page will allow the user to ask a service-related question on a particular topic. In addition, the user will have the ability to view previously submitted questions, follow questions, contribute to those questions, and share questions with other users.
Getting Started:
Following and Unfollowing Questions and Question Categories
To follow or unfollow a question category:
- Click on the question category name.
- Click on the Follow or Unfollow Category button located on the right.
To follow or unfollow a question:
- Click on the question you would like to un/follow.
- Click on the Follow or Unfollow Question button on the right.
Submitting Questions
To submit a question:
- Navigate to the RAMTech Client Portal.
- Select Questions from the red navigation bar.
- Select the most relevant question category in which the question should reside or select the + New Question button.
- If the question category is not already selected, select the desired category.
- Type a title for the question.
- In the body of the page, type your question.
- If necessary, provide descriptive tags to allow for the questions to be found easier by others.
- If necessary, provide an attachment to support your question.
- If you would like to be emailed about the activity on the question, check the box for Follow – Email me about activity for this question.
- When complete, click the Save button.
Sharing Questions
To share a question:
- Click on the question you would like to share.
- Click on the Share button on the right. The Share window will appear.
- Type the email address(es) of the intended recipient(s).
- Customize the generated message, if desired.
- Click the Send button.
Answered Question Options
Once a question is answered, users can do the following:
- Express if the question’s answer was helpful with a thumbs up or down.
- Comment on the question's answer.
- Accept the question's answer (if the user submitted the question).
- Contribute an answer.
To contribute to a question’s answer:
- Click on the question for which you would like to contribute an answer.
- In the Answers section of the question, click on the Contribute an Answer button. After which, the Your Answer section will appear.
- Type your answer/comment in the Your Answer section.
- If necessary, add an attachment to the question.
- If you would like to be emailed about the activity on the question, check the box for Follow – Email me about activity for this question.
- When complete, click the Save button.
