Canvas - Settings Exams for Respondus Lockdown Browser for iPad

Purpose:

To provide user with an understanding of setting up Respondus Lockdown Browser for iPad use.

Getting Started:

Setting an exam to allow students to use the iPad Edition of LockDown Browser

An instructor should follow these steps to allow students to access an exam using the iPad Edition of LockDown Browser:

1. Login to the online course using an instructor account.
   1. Example:  18SummerI-DPT6303-01
   2. Then select the Lockdown Browser link from the Navigation panel – Click the link
2. You will see the “About LockDown Browser” Panel
   1. Click “Continue to LockDown Browser”
   2. This will open the panel
   3. Next, close the “Important message” window if it opens.
3. From the Respondus LockDown Browser tool (dashboard), select "Settings" for the exam you want to update.
   1. Click “Settings”
4. Select "Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam".
   1. Check the button and box

5. Expand "[+] Advanced Settings" and select "Allow students to take this exam with an iPad".
   1. Click the “+” , then check the box to allow students to use their iPad
6. Save the settings.
   1. Scroll down the screen and click the “Save + Close” button
