How to connect to the "Eduroam" wireless SSID (Network)

Eduroam is a global wireless network access service for research and education. Any eligible organization can provide users (students, researchers, staff and faculty) with wireless access at participating institutions through the use of their home institution credentials. Currently WSSU students cannot log into the Eduroam network here at WSSU, BUT they can use it at any other location.

Instructions for IPHONE

  1. Go to the “settings” menu.
  2. Select to “wi-fi”.
  3. In the "Choose a Network" list Select “eduroam”.
  4. For the username enter your entire email address. (ie: smithj@wssu.edu for faculty/staff, or jsmith118@rams.wssu.edu for students)
  5. For password, use your Email/RAMID password, then click "Join" in the top right corner.
  6. Click “Trust” in the top right corner to accept the “morpheus.wssu.edu” certificate.

Connection for Android

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Select “Connections”
  3. Click on “Wi-Fi”
  4. Select “eduroam”
    1. (eap method) PEAP
    2. (phase 2 authentication) Mschapv2
    3. (Identity) your email address (ie: smithj@wssu.edu for faculty/staff, or jsmith118@rams.wssu.edu for students)
    4. (password) Enter your RamID/Email password
  5. Click on “connect”

Connection for windows PC

  1. Open your wi-fi manager. (left click on the wi-fi icon in the bottom right corner of your taskbar)
  2. Select the “eduroam” ssid.
  3. Login with your email address and password. (ie: smithj@wssu.edu for faculty/staff, or jsmith118@rams.wssu.edu for students)

Click on “Connect” for continue connecting.

 

Connection for Apple Computers (Macbooks)

  1. Click the wireless symbol at the top right bar (near your time)
  2. Select "Eduroam"
  3. Type in your RAMID and Password (ie: smithj for faculty/staff, or jsmith118 for students)
  4. If prompted, click continue to accept the connection on your computer
