Submitting a Profile Workflow to Web Support Services

Purpose:

This article highlights a critical step in the profile submission process that users often forget.

Getting Started:

After you edit your profile, it will be processed through a workflow so that content can reviewed, approved and published to the public-facing web site.

Once your profile updates and edits are complete follow these steps:

1. Click the "Save & Preview" button and then "Submit". Your options are to:

  • Check Content & Submit: this will check the page for misspellings and broken links to allow corrections before submission.
  • Start Workflow: sends the page to workflow to be approved and published to live website.

2. Once you are ready to submit your changes for publication on the live website be sure that "Use a
     Workflow" is checked and then click  the Start Workflow button.

3. Provide any comments to the reviewer or version comments. Then you will need to click "Start
     Workflow
" a second time to initiate the process.

4. The finale step has three options: Edit Again, Publish to Test, Submit for Review.

5. To submit the page for publication to the live website you have to pick the third option. You MUST
    click "Submit for Review"You will receive the option to submit any additional comments.

If you fail to click "Submit for Review" your profile will be stuck in limbo in your queue. Application Administration Services team members will not be able to see it.
