Getting Started:

Overview

**You must have administrative access to your computer.**

To install the student version of Wolfram Mathematica, you can follow these steps:

1. Download Mathematica:
   • Go to the Wolfram User Portal and sign in with your Wolfram ID or create a new one if you don't have an account.
2. Access the Student Version:
   • Once logged in, navigate to the download section or search for "Mathematica" in the products section.
3. Download Mathematica
   • Look for the latest version available for students. Click on the download link associated with the student version.
4. Installation:
   • Once the download completes, open the downloaded file to begin the installation process.
5. Follow Installation Wizard:
   • The installation wizard will guide you through the setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions, which typically involve agreeing to the license terms, selecting installation location, and confirming installation settings.
6. Activation:
   • During installation, you may be prompted to enter your Wolfram ID and password to activate Mathematica. Follow the prompts to complete the activation process.
7. Finish Installation:
   • Once installation is complete, you should be able to launch Mathematica from your applications menu or desktop shortcut.
8. Verify Installation:
   • Open Mathematica and ensure it launches without any issues. You may need to log in with your Wolfram ID again the first time you run the software.

To install the individual version of Wolfram Mathematica, follow these steps:
1. Download Mathematica
    •    Go to the Wolfram User Portal.
    •    Sign in with your Wolfram ID or create an account if you don’t have one.
    •    Navigate to “My Products and Services” and locate your Mathematica license.
    •    Click on Download and select version for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
2. Install Mathematica
    •    Windows: Run the Mathematica_14.2.0.exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
    •    macOS: Open the Mathematica_14.2.0.dmg file, then drag the Mathematica application to the Applications folder.
    •    Linux: Open a terminal in the directory where the Mathematica_14.2.0.sh file is located and run:

            CopyEdit
            sudo bash Mathematica_14.2.0.sh
3. Activate Your License
    •    Open Mathematica after installation.
    •    You will be prompted to enter your activation key.
    •    If you don’t have the key, go to your Wolfram User Portal → My Products and Services → Mathematica License to find it.
    •    Enter the key and follow the on-screen activation process.
4. Verify Installation
    •    Launch Mathematica and ensure it opens correctly.
    •    Try running a simple command like:
            wolfram
            CopyEdit
            2+2
    •    If the output is 4, your installation is successful!
