Students download and install the LockDown Browser client (this is a one-time process). With most LMSs, LockDown Browser will start automatically if an exam requires it to be used, so the student does not need a download link.
However, Canvas Classic Quizzes require institutions to distribute the unique URL below for downloading the LockDown Browser application. Students then start LockDown Browser before navigating to the exam. The download link is unique for your institution and can be used by faculty or students:
