Configuration for Network Access Control (fortinac) for RamSecure and wired network

 

 

Purpose:

Directions for using the RamSecure Wi-Fi network.

Getting Started:

Connecting to “Ramsecure” Wi-Fi and campus wired network

 

  • Audience: Campus owned devices. (must have persistent agent installed)
  • Policy Checks: Must have Windows 8.1 or 10, Mcafee ENS 10.6 or greater, Kace service running, DDP agent running, MAC OS Catalina or Mojave.
  1. Connect your device to the RamSecure SSID.
  2. Log in with your RAMID and password. (ie: smithj)
  3. You should be automatically connected to the internet.
  4. If your computer does not have the Network Access Control  agent(“Persistent agent”) installed, you will get the following:
    1. You will be presented with a portal page automatically, but if not open an internet browser and you will be directed to the splash page. The beginning splash page displays the campus use policy. (You must Accept the WSSU Acceptable Use Policy to access the internet.) Scroll through the text and click “agree” at the end of the policy.
    2. You will then be presented with a Notification message on screen.

  1. If your machine is missing any of the other WSSU requirements you will be presented with the scan failure screen with the remediation steps needed.
    1. Click on the failed scan category “WSSU-PA-Scan”.Failed scan example image
    2. Then click on the corresponding failed test(s), and follow the directions provided.

6. Once the steps have been completed, either restart the pc, or click "rescan" to verify your machine passes all checks.
