The GlobalProtect agent is a software program that runs on your university-issued laptop computer or mobile device, protecting you with the same security policies that protect the sensitive resources on your corporate network. You can use the GlobalProtect agent to connect to the WSSU network and access our internal resources from anywhere in the world.
To get started:
- Please have your manager submit a RAMTech ticket for access to GlobalProtect VPN.
***Please follow these below steps if Global Protect is pre-installed on your laptop.***
*Note* Initial box that pops up is requesting your portal
address. Not your username.
1. Verify you have the GlobalProtect Client installed on your university laptop computer.

- Double click the world symbol (Global Protect) in your taskbar at the bottom right.

Download the Agent
- Log in to the WSSU software portal.
- Launch your web browser and type the following URL: https://wssukbox1.wssu.edu
- On the portal login page, enter your RAMID credentials and Password and then click Login.

2. Type in vpn.wssu.edu in the URL location
OR
Click the drop-down if it’s not blank
|
Install the Agent
- Click the "Want software?" button.
- Click on "Install Global Protect VPN" from the list.
- Click on "Install" at the bottom of the page. Once complete a message window will pop up.
* Portal address: vpn.wssu.edu

3. Type in your RAMID credentials (Network login) and sign-in

4. The connecting box should disappear, and a checkmark will appear on the world symbol

CORRECTION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Click the world icon again at the bottom right of the screen
2. Click the settings wheel at the top right and click settings
3. Delete the portal address out and start over at the top of this document
a. If you cannot delete the address, click add instead and type vpn.wssu.edu
and then start over from the top of the document.
