Internet browsers (e.g. Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari) store certain information to increase performance when visiting websites.
There are times however when cached files will cause errors in Banner 9 Admin Pages. For example, if the stored content is old and the application has been recently upgraded.
To resolve this problem, it's recommended that you clear your Internet browser cache after Banner updates..
Steps to Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:
☐ Clear your browser’s cache and cookies using the instructions below:
In Chrome:
- Go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data
- Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files"
- Click Clear data
In Microsoft Edge:
- Go to Settings → Privacy, Search, and Services
- Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear
- Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files"
- Click Clear now
In Firefox:
- Go to Settings (or Preferences on Mac) → Privacy & Security
- Scroll to Cookies and Site Data → Click Clear Data
- Check both Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content
- Click Clear
In Safari (Mac only):
- Click Safari in the top menu → Select Settings (or Preferences)
- Go to the Privacy tab → Click Manage Website Data
- Click Remove All → Then click Remove Now
(Optional: You can also go to the Develop menu > Empty Caches if enabled)
☐ Restart your browser after clearing cache and cookies
