Purpose:
This article introduces users to the Self Service Client that is installed on all WSSU Windows computers. This app allows users to install approved software or perform certain actions without needing administrator credentials.
Getting Started:
Introduction to the Self Service Client
You can find the Self Service Client in two different ways:
- Locate the Self Service Client icon on the toolbar. It is a red circle. Open it by clicking on it.
- Click on the Windows button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Type "self". The Self Service Client should pop up. Select it by clicking on it.
Once the Self Service Client opens, it shows a catalog of approved software and actions. To install or run a module, just click on it. The client will show you the progress of the process. The process is complete once the activity disappears.
